3 Essential Backlink Rules When Guest Posting

3 Essential Backlink Rules When Guest Posting

A backlink is a link from another website pointing to your own. The more authoritative sites that point back to your website, including .edu’s and .gov’s, the more powerful your site becomes—and Google will notice.

When creating a backlink through a guest post, you need to consider a few things.

1. One hundred percent of your backlinks can’t all be from the same domain, and you need to have a range of links from various sites. The ratio of links to your blog is approximately one link to every twenty-three links to reputable sites.

2. A website should only link to one of its articles with a maximum of one link per 500 words. If an article is 2000 words, up to four links to that website may be included.

3. You must include links to other articles on the website you are placing your backlink and reputable sources within your article so that the article looks natural.
